Quick update from last post:
- While pregnant and researching childbirth options, I became very passionately in favor of natural birth - something I never would have imagined given all my long-harbored fears.
- Thanks to all that research, I was able to give birth naturally and thanks to the supportive team I had with me, was able to avoid what otherwise would have been a definite C-section.
- I realized toward the end of my pregnancy that 99% of my passion for my birthing choices came down to a passion for breastfeeding success (which was achieved, and still going strong at 9 months pp!)
- There has been little time or energy, etc for menu planning, but since we've recently started including baby in our meals more, that could change a bit.
- In addition to natural birth and breastfeeding, I also became very passionate about attachment parenting - and came to realize it isn't so popular (as I thought at last post).
- While I'm passionate about my views, one of them is that all moms deserve support. If I judge anyone, it's the companies, doctors, and others in power who (wittingly or not) tend to undermine the kind of support moms need.
- I'll say it again: my daughter brings me immeasurable joy each day!
That's all for now.... will try to post again soon.
